Peg's headshot      Peg’s fascination with quilts and quilting started in 1977, while studying Clothing & Textiles at Marian College (now University) in Indianapolis. Along with writing a research paper on the history of quilting and quilting techniques, Peg made her first machine-quilted bed quilt. At that time, machine quilting was practically unheard of, but Peg quickly became hooked and has been a quilting fanatic ever since!

Using the sewing machine to produce beautiful fiber art brings her tremendous joy and satisfaction. Her portfolio currently includes hundreds of pieces; both contemporary and traditional styles, all personally machine pieced and quilted.  Many of these pieces have received a variety of ribbons and honors.  Drawing from her professional expertise in conducting technical workshops and computer seminars, Peg developed quilting workshops for private guilds, quilt shops, and quilting retreats to spread the joys of this wonderful craft.

Peg’s love of quilting together with her love of all things Celtic has resulted in publication of her own pattern line of pieced Celtic Knot designs, called Peg’s Patches. These designs are unique and like nothing else available, featuring simple construction with stunning results! Each pattern booklet includes several Celtic knot motifs that weave and link and appear to knot together. These patterns are fun and easy, designed to stretch the beginner while satisfying the experienced quilter. The instructions are clear and thorough; insuring that all the quilters feel confident that they can complete the projects and produce beautiful art of their own. The patterns and booklets are clear and concise, tested and retested. Patterns that look complicated are broken down into simple units that easily fit together by following each clear concise step.

Along with the line of pieced Celtic Knots, Peg writes other fun patterns including several Attic Windows designs.  Peg loves to update, modernize, and put a contemporary spin on traditional blocks and patterns.  With every pattern, Peg maintains her commitment to making it easy, quick, and fun!
