How to Schedule:

Due to health issues, Peg is reserving her energies for Quilt Camp at Cedar Lakes. She is not scheduling any out-of-town gigs at the time.

Peg's Lectures:

History of Machine Quilting; based on my research for my master's thesis, this lecture explains the influence of the sewing machine on qultmakers since its inception to the Modern Quilt Movement

What I Have Learned Along the Way; see my earliest up to my most recent work as a lesson on fabric selections and the relationships between color within a quilt; learn why I quilt  and how I evolved into a quilt designer and teacher

Peg's One-day Workshops:

Overhand Knots: Here is the perfect introduction to Peg’s pieced Celtic knots.  There are two Overhand Knots© wall-hanging options – one straight-set and the other on-point – in two sizes each plus a small runner.  These will give you an opportunity to try out Peg’s patterns by making one or more!  All are very easy and fun and can be done in a day.  These are excellent options for you to experience the joy and satisfaction of making a lovely pieced Celtic Knot.

Russian Reel: Here is another great introduction to Peg’s pieced knots.  While most people today credit all knot-style artwork to the Celtic region, knots are seen all over the world, in almost every culture.  The appeal of knotwork is universal.  This knot was inspired from the artistry of Russian architect and graphic designer. In this Medallion option, there are two Russian Reel© medallion options – one straight-set and the other on-point – in two sizes each plus two runners.  All are very easy and fun and can be done in a day.

Attic Windows: With all the wonderful scenic on the market, it is so easy to make an Attic Windows quilt that truly looks out on a picturesque panorama. Here is an old favorite with a modern twist!  Inset piecing can be so intimidating, but is really easy once you know the tricks.  This is an excellent workshop for the beginner who needs guidance with this basic piecing technique and the veteran quilter looking for a relaxing, enjoyable day yielding a gorgeous wall hanging.

Mosaic Stained Glass: Let’s skip all the fuss and bother!  Let’s applique the lovely “glass” directly to the leading fabric and it’s fabulous, fun, and fast to achieve the fabulous look of stained glass!  No bias, no turning, no worries!  To achieve the look of stained glass or mosaic work, we will be using the basic raw-edge, fusible machine applique technique.  Fabric color and motif placement are the secrets to making your work fool the eye and look like a million bucks.  This is machine applique at its simplest, easiest and most beautiful!

Peg's Two-day Workshops:

Knots Series: All of Peg's pieced knots are excellent candidates for a two-day workshop! They are simple and fun and many, many quilt top sizes are available with each pattern. Everyone will be thrilled with their finished quilt top! Go to the Pattern Catalog page for all the options!
